Kansas City — AI innovation and events

Put AI to work in ways that keep getting better over time.

Cauldron Labs is an AI innovation consultancy and event planning studio based in Kansas City. We help companies and their key people put AI to work in ways that keep getting better over time.

Book a free discovery session

Two hours, no charge. It is the first step of every engagement.

What we do

Five ways in.

The tool is not the starting point. The hours a business already spends are. We build the system that gives them back.

  1. Self-improving agentic AI systems

Custom AI apps and agent stacks designed around how each team actually works — not around a vendor's template.

  2. Company brain knowledge bases

Capture what a business actually knows, so every project, decision and conversation makes the next one smarter instead of disappearing into inboxes.

  3. AI assessment flows

Show leaders where AI will make the biggest difference. Digital twins of people, processes and operations, so a business can test ideas before committing.

  4. Fast website redesign concepts

A new direction for the site, worked up quickly enough to react to before committing to a full rebuild.

  5. Event planning

Events that get teams and communities excited about AI, and ready to put it to use on Monday.

How it works

Crawl, walk, run.

Nothing gets built before you know what it costs. Work is scoped in three phases with clear hour estimates and budgets.

First, discovery

Every engagement starts with a free discovery session, usually about two hours, to find where AI will make the biggest difference.

  1. Phase one

    Crawl

Get knowledge out of inboxes into one place. Pick one workflow that costs real hours.

  2. Phase two

    Walk

Give a few key people agents that use that knowledge and learn from their corrections.

  3. Phase three

    Run

Connect it across teams so the system improves every week without a new project.

Who we work with

Anyone ready to do the work.

We are not looking for a type of company. We are looking for a real problem and someone close enough to it to care how it turns out.

  • A company putting AI to work for the first time and wanting to get the foundation right.

  • A team that already has the tools but no system holding them together.

  • A leader who needs their own key people fluent, not just a vendor who is.

  • An organization planning an event, a launch or a room full of people they need to move.

Projects

What we are building.

Cauldron Labs is one studio running several products. Some are live and taking customers. Some are still in the lab, and we say so.

Live

Shipping, with a link you can open.

Stack

Discovery and reasoning for the agentic age.

Stack

BidSight

Government contracting intelligence.

BidSight

Loop

An industry news network, run by agents and edited by a human.

Loop

In the lab

Built or building. No public door yet.

Petline

Software for the people who run pet care businesses.

Hearthline

A virtual assistant for home health and family care.

Luminary

Influencer outreach for nonprofits.

Secret Agency

A productized agency built AI-native from the first hire.

9d

Goal boards on the Harada Method, with agents that track the work.

HealOS

An operating system for builders running many ideas at once.

The studio behind these is the same one that does the client work. Same method, our own products.

How the studio is funded

Capital

A new way to invest.

The usual version of this goes like this. A founder has one idea, one app, one shot. You write a check and you are buying a lottery ticket, and everyone in the room knows it. Most of those tickets lose. The ones that win are supposed to pay for all the rest, and the waiting is the entire strategy.

We are selling the opposite. You are not buying a lottery ticket on a single app. You are buying into a factory that already ships. The products exist. The method that produced them exists, and it gets used every week on client work as well as our own. What you are backing is the repeatable part: the operating system, the taste, and the rate at which the next thing gets made.

Traditional venture sells a lottery ticket and prays for a home run. Cauldron sells a factory share, with cash rights and a scheduled path to more equity. The difference matters after the first year, when a lottery ticket is still a piece of paper and a factory has revenue, a pipeline and a reason to keep going.

Competence is rewarded. Complacency is expensive.

That is the whole design. A studio that keeps shipping earns more of itself. A studio that coasts pays for that choice. We would rather be measured on the first than excused for the second, and the structure should make the difference visible instead of hiding it in a board deck.

Range is the strategy, not a lack of focus. Many projects is not a failure to pick one. It is proof that the method works more than once. This is a portfolio of company-grade ideas, each one documented, each one demonstrable, each one built in collaboration with AI. A single product is a bet on a market. A portfolio of documented, working products is a bet on a way of working, and that bet gets stronger with every line we finish.

This is not an offer to sell securities.

The studio

Built from 25 years of publishing, video and events.

Cauldron Labs is Justin Gardner. He spent 25 years in media and marketing, most recently as Chief Content Officer at Everhance, where he led publishing for a network reaching 30M+ followers and putting out 1,200+ posts a month — and used AI to model acquisitions, build performance algorithms and find new revenue in the data.

Before that: social media at AMC Theatres, an award-winning video team later acquired by Collider, and years of events and screenings at Film Society KC.

Many of my best ideas about AI started with conversations in a room full of builders. Justin Gardner, founder
